[M SCAVR] / AED CVR / EX - S C / REX ARETAS Nabatean king Aretas kneeling right, holding olive branch and reins of camel standing beside him. Rev. P HVPSAE / AED CVR / CAPTV / C HVPSAE COS / PREIVE Jupiter in quadriga left, holding reins in his left hand and hurling thunderbolt with his right; below the horses, scorpion. Babelon (Aemilia) 9 and (Plautia) 10. Crawford 422/1b. RBW 1519. Sydenham 912. Beautifully toned and unusually complete. Very fine.
